Physical Rehabilitation
The personal struggles and triumphs of our patients and their families become part of all of us. At Laurel Regional Hospital's Physical Rehab Center, we travel the road to recovery with our patients. We pride ourselves on motivating and encouraging our patients as they work towards their goals. Working as a team, we include the patient's family and friends in the rehabilitationprocess. Together we can make a difference by teaching and "being there" for our patients.
The Physical Rehab Center provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to individuals with illnesses or injuries resulting from neurologic, orthopedic, or medical disorders.
Our team of therapists provides rehabilitation services to individuals with debilitating illnesses or injuries. Patients admitted to the inpatient program are medically stable and able to participate in an intensive rehabilitation process.
Because our patients have diverse needs, we also offer a wide variety of outpatient services, individually tailored to each patient. The Physical Rehab Center is dedicated to helping each patient maximize his or her quality of life and functional independence.
Our interdisciplinary team of therapists include:
- Physiatrists
- Speech/Language Therapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Physical Therapists
- Recreation Therapists
- Rehabilitation Nurses
- Social Work/Case Managers
- Psychologist
- Dietician
These caregivers work together as a team sharing ideas and techniques to manage each patient's rehabilitation program. Our excellent patient-to-therapist ratio gives our staff the capability to meet each individual's needs with a customized treatment plan.
