
Mission Statement
Laurel Regional Hospital Foundation, Inc. is the philanthropic arm of the hospital. The Foundation raises and receives funds to support Laurel Regional Hospital in its mission to provide high quality, cost-effective healthcare services to communities in the Baltimore - Washington Corridor.
The Foundation increases public awareness of the hospital's valuable contributions to the community. It solicits funds from regional organizations and individuals.
About Laurel Regional Hospital Foundation
The Laurel Regional Hospital Foundation, re-established in 1991, is the philanthropic arm of the hospital. It has been an important organization assisting the hospital meet capital equipment needs, upgrade the physical plant, and provide community outreach programs. The Foundation Board of Directors, comprised of voluntary community and business leaders, and physicians has worked tirelessly to gain the loyalty and support of the community.
The Foundation raises funds in a variety of ways.
Special Events. The Foundation's annual theme gala has become a signature event for the organization. Over the years, funds raised from the gala have helped purchase equipment as well as upgrade and/or expand services from maternal child health to physical rehabilitation.
The Foundation's 2001 annual theme gala, Return to the Renaissance, raised $75,000 to benefit emergency services at the hospital. Joanne Moe, Long and Foster Realty, and Joe Pipitone, Citizens National Bank, were crowned Queen and King, respectively after raising the most amount of votes at $1 per vote. The 2002 gala, The Best of Broadway, will be held on October 19, 2002 at the Hyatt Regency on Baltimore's Inner Harbor. A "Best Actor" and "Best Actress" will be presented "Tony Awards" based on the number of $1 votes they receive.
Annual Giving Program. Response to Foundation solicitations provides support to upgrade equipment and renovate the hospital.
Planned Giving Programs. Planned gifts support the Foundation and provide benefit to donors. Please consider the Foundation in your will and estate.
Memorial and Commemorative Giving Program. A donation in memory or in honor of a loved one is a special way to remember them, or recognize a special occasion. The family or recipient is notified of your gift.
Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow Donor Wall. The Foundation's donor recognition wall visually chronicles the hospital and recognizes past, present, and future donors.
