Laurel Regional Hospital Services
Wound Care Center
The Wound Care Center is a unique health service dedicated to caring for people with wounds that have resisted healing. Clinically, a non-healing wound is one which has not shown signs of healing after two months, and in some instances, as long as several years. Individuals with diabetes or circulation disorders, or those who have been bedridden for extended periods of time, often suffer from non-healing wounds.
The Wound Care Center offers:
A team of experienced doctors and nurses
Comprehensive patient assessment
Individual treatment plans
In-depth instruction and education on wound prevention
Over 10 years of experience with the most advanced medical research and technology of today
Some of the benefits of the Wound Care Center's approach to healing wounds include:
High level of limb salvage in severe wounds
Earlier recovery
Prevention of prolonged and/or permanent disability
For more information, to schedule an appointment, or for a tour of the Wound Care Center, call (301) 725-7255.
