Prince George's Hospital

Introduction to T'ai Chi
T'ai Chi is a Chinese exercise which combines the benefits of meditation, stretching, and relaxation training. Second Tuesday of the month. Deitz Memorial Auditorium 7:30 pm. For more information, call (301) 618-3858. To register, call Penny Martin at 301-618-2490.

Diabetes Education
A program to help diabetics manage their diabetes. Addresses physical, emotional, social and nutritional needs.

Standard First Aid
A four-hour basic first aid course. Every other month starting in January. For more information, call (301) 618-3490. $20 includes materials.

Senior Dining and Lecture Series
Second and fourth Wednesday of each month. For more information, call (301) 927-4987.

Morning Star Walking Program at Capital Plaza
Walk in a friendly environment and learn about maintaining your health. Program includes regular blood pressure screenings and health presentations. For more information, call (301) 618-3858.

Bowie Health Center

CPR Classes

Community Blood Pressure Checks
Monday-Sunday, 8 am to midnight. For more information, call (301) 262-5511

Laurel Regional Hospital

CPR Classes

People with Arthritis Can Exercise (PACE)
An on-going exercise program that meets at 10 am to noon on Mondays and Thursdays for 14 sessions. For more information and to register, call (301) 497-7901 or (410) 792-2270 ext. 7901. $25 includes materials.

Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Screening for Seniors
Second Tuesday of each month at 10 am. Phelps Senior Citizens Center in Laurel. For more information, call (301) 776-6168.

Walking Program at Laurel Centre Mall
Senior Strollers walk every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Blood pressure screenings are offered the second Thursday of each month. For more information, call (301) 776-6168.

Lifeline, an emergency response system for the home-bound.
For more information, call (301) 497-7950 or (410) 792-2270, ext. 7950. $35 for installation and $35 a month rental.
