Laurel Regional Hospital Events and Wellness Activities

Many and varied health education classes and illness prevention programs help make Laurel Regional Hospital an important link to the community's health. Programs address the special health concerns and well-being of women, men, children, seniors, and families. Health screening events and knowledgeable speakers are part of our community outreach efforts. Classes address a variety of subjects including:

Laurel Regional Hospital Support Groups

Several support groups meet regularly at the hospital, these include:

Alcoholics Anonymous, meets every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. DWI, court-ordered classes, call 1-800-435-5550.

Amputee Support Group, meets 2nd Sunday of each month at 1 p.m. For more information, call 301-497-7914 or 410-792-7636.

Bipolar Support Group - Meets every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. - 8p.m.

Diabetic Support Group meets the last Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. Call Wendy Bayless, R.N. at 301-617-8636 or 410-792-2270, ext. 78636 for more information.

Nar-Anon, meets every Monday at 7 p.m.

Narcotics Anonymous, meets every Monday and Thursday at 7 p.m.

Overeaters Anonymous, meets every Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

Parkinsons, meets every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. - Call Ida Raitano at 301-937-1545.

Rehabilitation Sharing Group (strokes or long-time illness), meets the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. - Call Margaret Bechtold at 301-497-7901 or 410-792-2270 ext. 77901.
