Seitz has more than 20 years of experience in eldercare and post acute healthcare management. As administrator of Gladys Spellman Specialty Hospital and Nursing Center, he provides leadership and direction for the 110-bed comprehensive care nursing center and specialty hospital located on the Prince George's Hospital Center Campus in Cheverly, Maryland. Before joining Spellman in the spring of 1998, Seitz served most recently as a management consultant/administrator for Genesis Health Ventures, one of the largest, most integrated eldercare companies on the East Coast. He has also served as vice president, COO, and partner with DHS of Maryland, Inc,. a subsidiary of ServiceMaster/Diversified Health Services, L.P. -one of the nation's leaders in providing a continuum of post-acute healthcare services. During the same period Seitz served as CEO of Charlotte Hall, the first state veterans long term care facility in the country privatized under a unique public/private partnership with the state of Maryland. A graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, Seitz also holds a Masters of Public Administration degree from New York University in New York City. He has licensure as a Long-Term Care Administrator in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Seitz is a member of the American College of Healthcare Administrators. He is the past Chairman of the Board of Health Facilities Association of Maryland, the largest trade group representing post acute healthcare providers in Maryland, and recently served on the Board of Trustees of Calvery Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, Maryland. Seitz is currently active in the Maryland Hospital Association and the Mid Atlantic Non Profit Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
